About Event Tracks
Built to solve coordination challenges, empower teams, and connect communities across Malaysia.
The Genesis: Eliminating Tournament Clashes
In the Malaysian competitive paintball scene, teams, captains, and tournament organizers frequently faced an unnecessary hurdle: fragmented event announcements spread across various social media channels, chat groups, and private pages.
This fragmentation often led to conflicting tournament schedules, split turnouts, and logistical chaos. Event Tracks was initially created to serve as a single, trusted source of truth for paintball tournament coordination across Malaysia — ensuring organizers can plan ahead and teams never miss a circuit.
Spatial Intelligence via GeoLocate
Attending an event outside your home state is more than just arriving at the venue. Players, attendees, and visiting delegations need to know where to stay, where to grab meals, and what attractions exist nearby.
Event Tracks integrates the open-source GeoLocate engine. Using OpenStreetMap, Leaflet, and the OpenStreetMap Overpass API, every verified event page dynamically maps nearby accommodations (hotels, guest houses) and local attractions within 5 to 10 kilometers — completely free of paid map APIs or vendor tracking.
📍 Accurate Geocoding
Venue coordinates pinned to Malaysian states, districts, and convention centers.
🏨 Nearby Stays
Hotels, homestays, and motels dynamically discovered within travel distance.
🎡 Local Attractions
Spots to explore and dine around the venue before or after the tournament.
Nationwide Expansion & Event Diversity
While rooted in paintball, the coordination model naturally expanded to serve a wider spectrum of Malaysian events. Today, Event Tracks aggregates and tracks:
- Competitive Sports: Paintball circuits, athletic tournaments, and regional leagues.
- Tech & Infosec Conferences: Premier gatherings like Parallel Pulse, developer summits, and GDG community meetups.
- Concerts & Live Acts: Music festivals, cultural performances, and indie sessions across KL, Penang, and Johor.
- Workshops & Expos: Professional development, trade exhibitions, and community bootcamps.
With automated scrapers feeding Peatix, Ticket2U, and Eventbrite feeds into a human-in-the-loop moderation queue, every published event is verified for authenticity and schedule integrity.
